In April, 2019, the Kampong Thom Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (KT-PDAFF) started supporting the CFs in the project areas to intensity the local community agricultural productions. In line with this, the KT-PDAFF assisted five households from the CF groups of O’s Krahak, Prey Tratey and Kbal Dauntey on how to produce a high-quality rice variety, the Rumdule Rice. This specific variety is selected because it can adapt well to the worsening climate change. Five demo plots were provided for each household, and it is expected that these five households will be able to share the high-quality rice variety to other 50 households by next year.
